Delivery Process and Timeframes

April – Early November

  • High school counselors provide a master file of the required sixth semester data (class size and unweighted class rank and GPA) to ISAC via the SSP/OCCA system within the GAP Access portal. This data is also used for Direct Admissions – or, One Click College Admit (OCCA) – processing.

The master student data file is submitted via the Batch Upload option, and – once made available each year and up until the State Scholar selection process begins – corrections to data already in the system can be made via the SSP Updates option.

  • Test scores are gathered from testing companies for the ACT and SAT exams taken during the student's third and fourth semester prior to graduation.

September – November

  • State Scholars are named.
  • Access to congratulatory letters and Certificates of Achievement for students designated as State Scholars is provided to high schools via the SSP/OCCA system.

January

  • The deadline to appeal a student's State Scholar status is usually at the end of January.
